Project, projects, projects

I have too many ideas and not enough time.

I want to make a Weasely knit quilt. I want my to be themed for Ginny. Most everyone has made one similar to Ron's in GOF. I like to think Mrs. Weasely made one for Ginny also from left overs. Hmmm....this maybe a good stash busting project. I have to use up some of my yarn. I think I am getting more than I can store.

Some of my acrylic yarn is going to my elderly aunt. She crochets little dolls that remind me of gingerbread people. I didn't realize that the heads had, what I thought was ping pong balls, unitl one of us stepped on it. Turns out the ball is from a roll on deorderant. Who knew. I might buy her some ping pong balls to go with the yarn.

Back to storing-- this is becoming an issue pretty soon. I am going to buy some shelving that I think can be decorative enough to use in the dining room. Hopefully....

Another project I want to try is making a "Fox" stole. More thoughts on it later.

But I am trying to finish things before I start somethings extentive. It is really hard to do so when my knitting is packed!! Grr...

Gryffindor Assignment No. 4 or 5

Okay, I am supposed to give my prediction on who is going to win the house cup in HSKS7.

Hmmm.....my inner eye is a bit hazy from a  head cold but here goes:

Ravenclaw

Gryffindor

Slytherin

Hufflepuffs

The Ravenclaws this term have been very speedy on their new brooms in Quidditch and if their owls are as swift as their brooms they will take the house cup.

BIG Sigh of Relief

My little owl with Emma's package made it to Germany! I am so relieved- it was his first international trip. Something funny, Emma made the Dante's purse for her swap mate also! I guess that proves it is a great pattern.

Still sick, but back at work. I am not accomplishing much though.

I am almost finished with my Warm Woolies hat. I had to resort to a different color of yarn- they were out of grey. It will look good though.

I have decided to put my centaur, pegusas, and hippogryph on hold for now. My LYS has quit ordering alpaca for the season and the colors choices are limited at this moment. I am hoping my motivation for these creatures pick back up in the fall. Part of the problem I think is that I am in the transition of moving. Not too fun trying to felt around boxes. I am going to delete these projects off of my ravelry, I think. I can't stand to see things that are without pictures.

Since being sick I have watched way too much TV mostly crime shows and flipping channels. I did catch a couple of David Bromen?'s Colorsplash show on HGTV. I really like his paintings that he does to dress up the spaces. He did one that is really similiar to something I did a couple years ago and it makes me really really itch to paint again. I want to do some some square paintings for this certain space in my house. I was thinking I can cut down on my yarn buying (start some stash busting) and purchase some canvases and take my painting out side. All along after gradutating part of problem has been where to paint and lighting. I really want to try it outside-- R can play in the sand and I can even fix up her a painting spot. I have some friends who want me to do a huge painting for their apartment livingroom and my project would give me a nice starting point. I am really excited and want to get started soon! It maybe awhile though, I have a lot going on with moving.

Well, off to finish the hat.

Sick

I have been sick all weekend long.  I even missed Quidditch on Saturday.  I haven't felt like working on my knitting.  I need to go to LYS to get another skein of Plymouth Baby Alpaca to finish off a hat for Warm Woolies, but I couldn't make myself get up.  Pretty unreal that I felt so bad the thoughts of yarn didn't cure me.  I just sent my hubby, I am trusting the ladies to know what I am looking for.

I am feeling well enough to look at a computer.  The bright pages were making me nauseous previous to now.

Today the pressure in my head is better.  I have been looking at the Ikea website.  I have to quit looking because it makes me want to go back to Dallas really soon!  I don't think I can wait for July.  I have a list of items that I plan to look/purchase.  I am too excited.

I have trying to figure out what furniture we are keeping and what we are getting rid of.  I have a pretty good idea.  Somethings I am going to try and rehabilitate.  I just pissed the hubby off by telling him the recliners are going...  I plan to purchase one, but the one I really liked I haven't see again.

Anyways...I am going to lay down.

Little Bit of Everything from Lady Arabella Carmichael!!

I went to Lady Arabella's blog today and had a heads up that my package was coming! I came home from work and there it was!

My mom was worse than my kid on opening everything. In fact R was pretty patient. Here is what I got:
Russell Stover- Internationale chocolates-- 90 seconds flat and we were ripping into them!

Cork stitch holders-- very cool, I have never seen anything like them! Sew personal labels-- these will be perfect for when I make Christmas gifts. A sweet card with puppies on it (it makes me ashamed for forgetting to add one to my package to my HSKS7 swap mate...naughty me.) Two thumbs up from R on the puppies!
A beautiful skein of Skinny Dyed red organic cotton yarn from Blue Sky Alpacas! It feels fantastic! I have no idea what to do with it, but my mind keeps wondering to a snugly toy. A little witch that was Arabella's first crochet project! My R claimed it first thing! She was so excited! She also really likes the "balloon" pin and the green ribbon that one of the packages was wrapped with...she is wearing both right now!

And finally, the hat! Once again beautiful Skinny Dyed Cotton red organic cotton yarn from Blue Sky Alpaca knit up in "Hermione's Cable and Eyelet" hat! I love it. It is so soft and fits me (and my hubby- we are having another cold snap so he is wearing it while weather-proofing his grape vines) perfect! I can't wait to wear it tomorrow to work! In fact I just might wear it inside all night...it is cold enough!
Thank you so much Arabella!! You did a great job!

New Yarn!

Really silly for me to buy new yarn when I am packing up my old yarn, but oh well. (I am moving soon!  Sad, but happy...more space, but my brother is moving away.) I bought 4 skeins of alpaca at my LYS and the owner gave me like 500 yards free because it was tangled!  So exciting!

I sent my package today to my HSKS7 partner.  I hope she gets it soon!

I am anxiously awaiting my packages from HSKS7 and HLBOE.  I know HLBOE is sending soon.

Anyway, I am heading off to start on a new horse.
